What began in a rented workshop in the Ruhr has become a two-continent manufacturer — but the problem we solve has not changed since 1968.
The Beginning
One recurring complaint, one workshop
In 1968, Heinrich Faber was selling conveyor components to mills across North Rhine-Westphalia. Everywhere he went he heard the same complaint: a single bolt in the feed had wrecked another crusher, and the line had been down for two days.
He built the first overband separator in a rented workshop in Moers with a hand-wound coil and a borrowed lathe. It ran for nineteen years at the plant that bought it.
The company stayed family-held through three generations, adding a second manufacturing site in 2004 to serve customers across Asia-Pacific. The magnetic circuit is still designed in Moers.
